Festive Makeup Inspo

We've narrowed down our top makeup picks to see you through the festive season. From contouring to the on-trend brown lip making waves in the beauty world thanks to the infamous Kylie Jenner... we have a look for you to love!

First off, as much as we all want to glow under the mistletoe, there is a fine line between glowing goddess and glitter. Use techniques such as strobing and highlighting to accentuate the tops of your cheek bones, under the brow, the inner corners of the eyes as well as across the cupid's bow of your lips. Shimmering eyeshadows are great and add drama to any look but try to avoid anything overly sparkly!

We have SIX KEY LOOKS, each with a different take on how you can create a look to best suit you, your outfit choice and your surroundings for any event.

This one is the most common festive look and a classic party-season go-to. For a modern take on the look, keep the skin warm with a sweep of glowing bronzer and a pearly highlighter to amp up the glow factor.

Top Tip: Match your red to suit your complexion! Warm tones for yellow based beauties and a cooler red for pink based.

A colour that is always on-trend. Under-stated yet sultry. Soft smokey browns are the ultimate go-to especially effective for the festive season when paired with a bold brow and defined lip.

Top Tip: Use a range of different shades of brown eyeshadow to create depth and work on contouring the eye lids with velvety warm tones.

A throwback to the 90's, warm burgundy and brown-toned lips are back in the spotlight. Perfect for our beauties in the northern hemisphere, this look really adds warmth to the face during the winter months.

Top Tip: Ensure you use a good quality lip liner to define your lips pre-lippy application! A lip primer can also help the inner colour from fading too quickly.

This girl-next-door look is gorgeous for a daytime event. Try to keep a light glowing complexion with a sweep of bronzer across the cheekbones with the remainder of makeup minimal and clean. Brows should be lightly defined and lashes long and fluttery.

Top Tip: Add a touch of pearly white eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eye for a fresh open-eye finish.

This look works best on a muted lip to keep things from going a little overboard. Try to keep skin fresh and glowing. Ensure your skin is optimally hydrated before applying your makeup to maintain a fresh complexion.

Top Tip: The absolute key to this look is an ultra fine eyeliner. Liquid liner's tend to give a fine yet pigmented line for an ultra-crisp finish.

@bellahadid shows us how it's done with this crisp and glowing fresh faced look. Focus on features such as brows and lashes with faces looking fresh and dewy. Lips are best left nude and rosy to complete the look.

Top Tip: Use a highlighter to amp up the glow factor. Try the 'strobing' technique where needed but pay particular attention to the top of the cheek bones.
