CLEANSER

Bali is humid, literally all day and all night so I tend to make sure that a cleanser is always the first thing in my beauty bag. Not only does it keep my face feeling fresh and hydrated, it also rids my pores of pollution and other environmental hazards that often become problematic for my skin.

SUNSCREEN

I am now in my mid-20’s so am starting to see the vague signs of many years as a youngster hitting the beach and opting out of wearing the good old Banana-Boat. Nowadays, with our National Trainer, Bianca continually touting the benefits of wearing sunscreen each and every day, its part of my morning ritual.

Daily Essential Moisturiser, get in my beauty bag!

BODY MOISTURISER

I usually find a new body moisturiser at the beginning of every summer and am completely loyal to that particular brand until March-ish.

This year I am favouring Bobbi Browns, Beach, Body Lotion. Its lightweight, lightly fragranced and laced with Aloe Vera, Olive, Jojoba, Sunflower Oil, Green Tea and Vitamin E. Perfect for summer if you have my type of dry skin!

PERFUME

I am a firm believer in having a summer and winter fragrance. My warmer weather favourite is Missoni Aqua – which can simply be summed up in this sentence “'the beach, water and sunny summer of Sardinia”. The citrusy notes are Bergamot and Grape, with the floral heart combining Violet, Peony and Blue Freesia and the underlying base notes of Iris and Jasmine. Idyllic.

HYDRATING MIST

To stay fresh and hydrated on the sand, I always like to carry a hydrating mist.

The Moisture Boosting Facial Mist is loaded with botanicals and when left in the fridge to cool down, is equally as refreshing as a cold Bintang on the beach.

SEA SPRAY FOR HAIR

Evo’s Salty Dog Cocktail beach spray is probably my favourite sea spray mist. I have naturally curly and unruly hair but a few squirts and scrunches later, my limp chlorine-depleted (from hours of swimming in the pool) curls are often bouncing around like they’ve been freshly washed.

MY OTHER MUST-HAVES

Other essentials that one may need: blotting paper, gradual tanner, a lick of orange nail polish, a large brim woven hat and a good book.

If you are off on one last summer escape, be sure to be savvy when it comes to your holiday skincare.
