Spring hair trends to try

We might always be banging on about skin here at HQ but hair is something else we are eternally particular about. We love playing with different styles and love following hair and fashion blogs along with celebrity instagram accounts for inspiration. This season we will definitely be trying out some of the key hair trends from the Spring 2014 runways!

Side part

You can be adventurous with this trend and play with a dramatic side part, al la Scar-Jo and Brooklyn Decker or a soft messy side part as seen on Cara Delevingne and Jennifer Aniston.

Whether it’s  loose and summery, a fishtail braid, halo braid or a simple side plait this is certainly a style gracing many of our favourite celebrity Instagram accounts. Mastering a few different techniques is easy enough to do (see our click throughs below) and is a great go-to if you hair is in desperate need of a wash or you are heading out with wet hair and want to style it up a bit.

If you were brave enough to follow those in getting a pixie chop like some of Hollywood’s leading ladies, now is the time to grow it out so you have a little length to work with over the warmer months. We love Rose Byrne and Lara Bingle for some Lob-spiration.

Long and lengthy

This season we love our leading ladies with naturally long, healthy locks. Think soft, shiny hair that moves when the wind blows. If you need to invest in a good hair treatment, just do it. Your hair will love you for it and in turn, your hair will look much much healthier. We don’t just mean you beauties with straight hair, curly locks can look amazing as well! Our lengthy lock inspo? Think Taylor Swift for straight sophistication or Khloe Kardashian for soft beachy waves.
