At Alpha-H, we are all about making a difference. We know we can’t change the world overnight, but collectively, we can lessen our footprint on the environment and improve the future for generations to come.
Going off the grid
We’re making the most of what Mother Nature has blessed us with here on the sunny Gold Coast and recently added 195 solar panels to the roof of our factory and head office at Helensvale. Measuring some 325m2, this will reduce our CO2 emissions by almost 67,000 kg per year.
We know how to clean up after ourselves. Always at the forefront of innovation, we’re converting our inorganic waste into high-grade composts, premium soils, soil conditioners and potting mixes. These are used for land rehabilitation projects as a growing medium or replacement for synthetic fertilisers. They rejuvenate degraded land by improving ecological and biological integrity through improved soil fertility and micro-life.
Almost 40% of our tubes and bottles are made from recycled material. Through new technology, over one third of post-consumer recycled resin (PCR resin) can be used in packaging without compromising the integrity of the product.
And, if you’re running on empty, then of course your Alpha-H tube or bottle is 100% recyclable as well as the cardboard outer packaging.
Hybrid electric transportation
To reduce our carbon emissions even further, we’ve upgraded our company cars to Toyota Prius. We’ll also be purchasing a new delivery truck in the not too distant future, and this will be a hybrid too.
We’re passionate about supporting local, and using local ingredients wherever possible. Alpha-H currently sources both Caffeine Extract and Aloe Vera from local Queensland growers. Our Lime Pearl™ is sourced from Queensland’s tropical East Coast rainforests.
Why is Alpha-H committed to sustainability?
“Being aware of my influence as a leader, it’s extremely satisfying to be able to raise the consciousness of those around me and bring about positive change. A key focus is our ability to lesson our footprint on the environment and improve the future for generations to come.”
