Niacinamide

Niacinamide works to reinforce and enhance the skin’s barrier function by increasing the production of ceramides in the surface layers of skin. Specifically it reduces the ability of melanocytes to pass melanin to the skin cells, resulting in the reduced appearance of uneven skin tone. It can also help to prevent trans-epidermal water loss and may assist in controlling sebum production and stimulate microcirculation, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
